The four-hour teleconferences will be offered through a network of host sites around the state. Each remote site will have a facilitator who will lead the local group in structured activities and discussions.
Scheduled keynote speakers:
- Kathie Snow - March 13, 2008
- Norm Kunc - April 25, 2008
- David Pitnoyak, June 20, 2008
- Cathy Ficker-Terill, September 25, 2008
(Sessions 5 and 6 will be scheduled in 2009)
The training series targets direct support providers and related professionals who support individuals with developmental disabilities. It replaces the Oregon Conference on Direct Supports held in Corvallis the past three summers.
The change of format is intended to increase the Coalition's capacity to train many more individuals than is possible through a single annual conference.
